SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Thank you for your interest in the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Chapter 1075 Scholarship.

To qualify for the $2,000.00 Scholarship Award, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Eligible Dependents: Must be a child or grandchild of a military member who served during the Vietnam Era (1962–1975), or a dependent of a veteran who served in any war or conflict in Southwest Asia (e.g., Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait). Veterans may be living or deceased.
Residency: Must reside in El Paso County or Teller County, Colorado.
Age & Student Status: Must be 21 years of age or younger, and accepted into an accredited college, university, trade, or technical school (proof of acceptance required). Note: Adults and emancipated children are not eligible.
Essay Requirement: Each applicant must submit a 1,000-word typed essay on one of three provided topics, including references citing sources of information.

Applications must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2027. Applications received with a postmark after this date will not be considered or accepted.
